Public Services Group

The TRAC Public Services Group (PSG) works cooperatively to ensure procedures and policies are in place for effective daily operations and circulation activities of member libraries.

Reviews guidelines and procedures of member libraries and makes recommendations as needed.

Considers requests from member libraries regarding circulation, operational activities, and the public interfaces of the online catalogue (TRACpac).

Ensures sharing of best practices and training as needed. 

Reviews operational guidelines for TRAC materials under the advisement of the TRAC Advisory Council and the TRAC Directors.

Encourages discussion and development of innovative customer-centered approaches or projects that positively affect library services. 

Reviews and approves automation procedures for TRAC upon receiving written recommendations from another TRAC Groups detailing the desired functionality.  Such recommendations may also require approval by the TRAC Directors.  

Oversight for the TRAC Training Committee and the TRAC eContent selection Committee.
